What is Entropy?

Entropy is an alternative night club based in Bath, near Bristol in the UK. Bath has many clubs, but few play the kinds of music you'll find at Entropy. Basically, Jim and Mike got fed up of having to travel to London and Bristol for a good night out all the time. We feel that Entropy fills a niche in Bath, playing a mix of Industrial, Goth, Dance, Indie and other alternative tunes giving a wide audience a chance to hear the most popular tunes from each genre. Our set lists are all online if you want to check them out.

Entropy first ran once-monthly from October 2001, closing in November 2002 to give us a chance to have a hard think about how we could stop losing money. Since May 2003 Entropy we've run the night at a different venue, with better drinks and a later license and it seems to be going well.

Where is Entropy?

Entropy normally runs at the Porter Butt on the London Road in Bath. We also run occastional nights at QT's Nightclub in Bath. Check out the Location page for more details.

When is Entropy?

Entropy is on the first Saturday of every month. We don't run events in January as they the first Saturday tends to be very close to New Years. The dates for the next few events are as follows:
    Saturday, 6th September.
Saturday, 4th October *Entropy's Birthday Bash*

What can I expect when I get there?

From 8.00pm onwards the bar will be open and the DJs will be playing their hearts out. The DJs change every half hour, to try and break up the types of music giving everyone a chance to hear something they like. There will be two or three DJs playing a mix of Goth, Industrial, 80s, Electronica, Indie and modern alternative. Check out our set lists for more of an idea.

How much does Entropy cost?

Entropy costs a mere £3 for the whole night. The right of admission is reserved. Members of Rock Soc or Music Soc need only pay £2, as long as they bring their membership card with them.

Is there a mailing list I can join?
